Justin, founder of Strive to Be Fit LLC, has over 14 years of experience helping people in Austin, achieve fitness goals through personalized training and nutrition counseling. From weight loss to strength training, Justin’s approach focuses on emotional, spiritual, and physical wellness.

My Story

Fitness has always been an integral part of my life, and I am passionate about helping people achieve their fitness goals! I believe in hard work and thrive on seeing others push themselves toward success. My journey in fitness took a significant turn at the age of 14 when I was involved in a life-changing jet-ski accident with my best friend. I almost lost my leg, but thanks to skilled doctors, they saved it by inserting a titanium rod and four bolts in my femur. This experience taught me to cherish my abilities and to never take anything for granted.

Before committing to personal training, I explored various career paths while helping friends get in shape. I initially pursued nursing school, then shifted to EMT training, but neither fulfilled my passion. I even tried phlebotomy. Each time I returned to what truly makes me happy—fitness and helping others.

After obtaining my certifications in Nutrition and Personal Training through PFTA, I began my career at Fitness 19 as a personal trainer. My dedication and hard work led to a promotion to Fitness Manager within six months. However, my ambition drove me to establish my own personal training business, Strive to Be Fit LLC. During this time, I also served as an instructor at PFTA for three years, certifying aspiring personal trainers.

At Strive to Be Fit, my mission is to empower individuals to feel confident and healthy! My approach to fitness training emphasizes achieving balance on three essential levels: emotional (the Mindset), spiritual (the Motivation), and physical (the Movement). When I train my clients, I focus on educating them about making fitness a sustainable lifestyle change, integrating healthy habits into their daily lives.
